Recommended Fertility for Container-Grown Hemp/Cannabis
The following recommendations* are based on use of our G-Force High Porosity living soil mix as growing media in nursery or fabric pots. This is a fertigation program for growers who aim to inject liquid feed via irrigation lines with a focus on raw materials over branded products.** An alternate top-dress program will be released at a date TBD. These recommendations assume preference for organic methods, always check with your certifier for compliance before using any particular product.
At Transplant:
This is the most effective time to introduce a Mycorrhizal Inoculant directly into the root zone for enhanced symbiotic fungal benefits.
Consider watering in with a Soluble Seaweed Extract to reduce transplant shock.
Vegetatives Stage:
First 4-5 weeks of vegetative growth (dependent on container size) = No fertilizer required based on existing soil amendments.
Additional weeks of veg = Maintenance feed weekly with Fish Hydrolysate (2-3-1)
Flowering Stage:
N source:
P source: Organic liquid sources of P can be harder to source,
K source: Soluble Seaweed may be applied as foliar during flower.
No need to flush in organic practices as there should not be excess salt buildup.
(Optional)
We recommend Fulvic Acid in combination with any fertigation program as it helps chelate nutrients to make them more available.
Carbohydrates such as Blackstrap Molasses are proven to boost yield and terpene production during flower in addition to stimulating soil microbes & adding K.
Many growers choose to introduce beneficial biology throughout the season via foliar compost teas, we recommend using high quality Worm Castings for teas.
*All recommendations are to be considered baseline starting point to be further customized based on cultivars, pot size, length of season, other variables. Always read product label for specific application rates. We recommend commercial growers utilize mid season soil tests (saturated paste+ nitrogen) from Logan Labs. If soil analysis shows given deficiency or excess make adjustments accordingly.
